President Hassan Sheikh Meets with Djibouti’s Minister of Foreign Affairs

 The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Djibouti delivered greetings and a message from his counterpart, the President of the Republic of Djibouti, H.E. Ismaïl Omar Guelleh, to the President of the Federal Republic of Somalia.

During the meeting, President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud briefed the Minister on the overall situation in the country, particularly the ongoing efforts in reconstruction, development, and military operations aimed at eradicating the terrorist groups Daesh and Al-Shabaab. He expressed his gratitude to the people and Government of Djibouti for their fraternal support and solidarity with the Somali people.

The discussions also underscored the importance of further strengthening the strategic relations between Somalia and Djibouti, which are rooted in brotherhood and deep cooperation, particularly in the areas of security and regional affairs.
