Somalia Hosts Second National Quality Infrastructure Conference in Mogadishu

Mogadishu today hosted the opening of the Second National Quality Infrastructure Conference, organized by the Somali Bureau of Standards.

The conference was inaugurated by the Minister of Commerce and Industry, Hon. Mahmoud Ahmed Aden (Geesood), and attended by senior government officials, representatives of international organizations, and invited experts.

This two-day conference focuses on strengthening the quality of Somali exports to safeguard the country’s trade reputation, while also ensuring that imported goods meet required standards to enhance public safety and improve the well-being of the Somali people.

By reinforcing quality infrastructure, Somalia aims to protect consumers, boost competitiveness, and contribute to sustainable economic growth.
