Global Protests Erupt After Israel Blocks Gaza Aid Flotilla

In a move that has sparked international outrage, Israel’s navy intercepted several humanitarian boats bound for Gaza, detaining passengers that included climate activist Greta Thunberg.

The flotilla, known as the Global Sumud Fleet (GSF), was carrying essential aid to Gaza when it was stopped by Israeli forces. Authorities claim the vessels were entering a “conflict zone,” but organizers denounced the action as “illegal” and “an act of oppression.”

In response, protests have erupted across major cities worldwide — from London to New York, Johannesburg to Istanbul — with demonstrators demanding accountability and calling for the immediate release of detainees.

The interception has reignited debate over Israel’s blockade of Gaza and raised concerns about humanitarian access in the region.

The question now remains: will the global community pressure Israel to allow aid through, or will this become another flashpoint in the Gaza crisis?
