Trump Signs Historic Gaza Peace Deal in Egypt: “Reconstruction Begins”

A major step toward peace in the Middle East has been announced as U.S. President Donald Trump and the leaders of Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey signed a landmark peace declaration focused on rebuilding Gaza after years of destruction and suffering.

The signing ceremony took place in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt, where Trump praised the regional leaders for their crucial role in brokering the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas.

“A beautiful new day is rising, and the reconstruction is beginning,” Trump said, holding the signed document before the press.

According to the agreement, Israel will release 250 Palestinian prisoners, along with over 1,700 others detained during recent military operations in Gaza. In return, Hamas has freed the last 20 Israeli hostages who were being held in Gaza.

This move marks a significant milestone in the ongoing efforts to stabilize the region after years of conflict and humanitarian crisis.

Earlier, during a speech to the Israeli parliament (Knesset), Trump told lawmakers that “the long and painful dream has finally come to an end,” referring to the decades of bloodshed and division between Israelis and Palestinians.

A New Phase of Hope

Observers say the deal could open the door for large-scale reconstruction projects in Gaza, with support expected from Qatar, Turkey, and Egypt, as well as international donors.

Experts believe this moment could signal a shift from confrontation to cooperation, bringing long-term stability to millions affected by war.

As rebuilding begins, many hope this will be the dawn of a new era of peace and opportunity for Gaza and the wider region.
