NHPC Secretary General Conducts Official Visit to Mogadishu Somali–Türkiye Hospital

 


The Secretary General of the National Health Professionals Council (NHPC), Mr. Mohamed Mohamud Adow, today carried out an official working visit to the Mogadishu Somali–Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Hospital (formerly Digfeer Hospital).

During the visit, the Secretary General held a productive meeting with the hospital’s Director General, Prof. Dr. Yusuf Çokay, and the Deputy Director, Dr. Mohamed Hussein Ashraf. The discussions focused on strengthening cooperation between NHPC and the hospital administration, improving the quality of healthcare services provided to the public, and ensuring full compliance of health professionals with national laws, ethical standards, and professional regulations.

The meeting also highlighted the significant role played by Mogadishu Somali–Türkiye Hospital in advancing healthcare delivery, providing continuous medical training for health workers, and implementing modern systems aimed at improving patient care and hospital performance.

Mr. Adow commended the hospital’s leadership for the visible progress and dedication demonstrated in service delivery. He reaffirmed NHPC’s strong commitment to working closely with healthcare institutions across the country to ensure patient safety, service quality, and the overall development of the health profession in Somalia.

The visit reflects ongoing efforts by NHPC to strengthen oversight, collaboration, and professional standards within Somalia’s healthcare sector.

Sweden’s Defence Minister Visits Somalia to Strengthen Bilateral Security Cooperation
